Technical Services Representative

Based with a fast growing highly successful international biotechnology company this newly created role will report to the Technical Service Manager, and will have responsibility for the support of company assays.

Position Summary:

The Technical Service Representative assists with the maintenance of current and new customer bases through phone, fax, email and on-site technical assistance. You will assist with technical duties including the production/testing/shipping/installation of instrumentation and assist the Technical Service staff with all aspects related to providing customer service (both internal and external customers). Candidate will train with experts and gain insight and abilities to diagnose and troubleshoot systems. Candidate will additionally gain proficiency in answering customer inquiries and diagnosing system functions.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Ability to improvise and adapt
  • Troubleshoots systems in a logical and effective manner.
  • Executes written and verbal procedures.
  • Accurately executes support functions based on verbal and written communications.
  • Provides verbal and written progress reports on assigned projects as required.
  • Works in a manner consistent with customer and company policies and procedures including: Adherence to quality systems, safety and health policies
Tech Service:

  • Repair and troubleshoot systems at customer sites
  • Perform on-site installation, customer training, cross-over studies and on-going support.
  • Maintain liaison with customers and contribute to the Quality Reviews of the Technical Service Department.
Customer Service:

  • Assist the Technical Service Manager with performing the response to critical issues.
  • Forward customer support requirements to Technical Service Department.
Quality Control:

  • Ensure ongoing product quality through analysis of feedback from customers.
Person Spec :

  • Degree in Science or Electronics or applicable experience
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Good organizational skills, multi-tasking capabilities
  • Good basic laboratory skills and experience with HPLC preferred.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Willing to travel
  • Holds valid Passport
