Our client is a buoyant commercially driven multinational pharmaceutical company. The companies Irish affiliate is looking to recruit a commercially minded Medical Director, who will play a key role in driving their business growth.
Key Responsibility :
To manage and develop the Medical Dept.
To ensure full compliance of the affiliate with the internal policies of the companys European parent and Irish and European legislation.
To provide all necessary medical & regulatory support to optimize the commercial and business activities of the Irish affiliate
To initiate and control clinical trails of pharmaceutical products, and provide advice on any matter related to the medical aspects of such products.
Lead the medical team to a full potential of their capacities and competencies
Other Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the medical team
Responsible for training of all employees as per internal guidelines
Participates in Pan European research and development projects
Manages local clinical trials programmes, including choosing investigators and optimal methods of data collection. Managing specialist staff, including CRA's
Develops relationships with investigators and opinion leaders providing them with updated scientific information and support for presentations and articles
To direct al regulatory affairs activities to ensure compliance with local registration requirements
Provide specialist advice and input to local marketing campaigns and product promotion messages and HQ Marketing/Medical initiatives
Responsible for local drug safety and leads adverse events management
Maintain a robust Quality System
Acts as a member of the Management Team
Provide out of hours cover for Drug Safety, Medical Queries and quality event
Candidate Profile :
Medical Degree, with Post Graduate Qualification
High level influencing and communication skills
Well developed project management skills
In depth knowledge of local healthcare system, local KOL's, scientific bodies etc.
In dept knowledge of good clinical practice, drug safety etc
5+ years of clinical experiences
2+ years experience in the pharmaceutical industry
Clinical research experience
