The successful candidate will have responsibility for the entire function which includes freight, warehousing and distribution and will report to the Commercial Director.
Responsibilities/Duties include:
· Responsible for all movement of goods within the Company
· Working closely with buying and store operations to ensure their requirements are met
· Managing a substantial budget, ensuring value for money and efficiencies are achieved
· Managing relationships with logistics providers and liaising with goods suppliers as the need arises
· Ensuring accuracy of stock information on systems
· Management of the personnel within the logistics department
· Internal reporting and projects as requested
Experience/Skills:
· Minimum of 5 years management experience in a logistics environment
· Strong organisational and administrative skills
· Excellent Microsoft Office skills
· Ability to multitask and prioritize
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Excellent interpersonal and numeracy skills
· Be highly motivated and ambitious, and have an appetite for hard work
· Experience with SAP would be an advantage
